Brief details of the work:
The OutPatient Clinic of University Health Centre functions in two shifts on all week days except Sunday and Second Saturday (8.30 am to 1.30 pm & 1.30 pm to 6.30 pm). The University Health Centre imparts health care services: out-patient consultation, laboratory diagnosis and dispensing of prescribed medicines - for students, employees, pensioners, their dependents and residents of Pallikkal, Thenhipalam and Chelembra Grama Panchayath fully free of cost up to 29.02.2024. From 1st March 2024 the free services of Laboratory and Medicine limited to University Community and the public belonging to BPL category from the nearest Grama Panchayath. And also started to collect Rs. 10/- as OP ticket fee from the public.
Highly sophisticated laboratory with most modern diagnostic equipments like Fully Automated Biochemical Analyzer (Bio-system), Fully Automated Hematology Analyzer (Swelab Alfa), Binocular Microscope, Fully Automated Hormone Analyzer, Specific Protein Analyzer(MISPA-i2 HbA1c Analyzer) etc is functioning in the Health Centre to ensure community service. It functions on all working days from 08.30 am to 01.30 pm to impart all kinds of routine diagnostic tests absolutely free of cost to the University Community.
Almost all kinds of medicines including costly antibiotics and Cardiac drugs are dispensing from the Pharmacy on prescription, totally free of cost, to University Community and the public belonging to BPL category. Daily between 150 to 200 patients including Students, Staff and Public are treated in University Health Centre.
