Condonation of shortage of attendance
Documents to be submitted
a) Application for the condonation of shortage of attendance forwarded through the Principal of the college with proper recommendations along with required documents.
b) Covering letter from the college.
c) Medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner (for shortage above 10% and for continuous absence for 5 or more days consecutively)
d) Challan receipt for the required amount
Fee Structure
a) Rs 830/- for shortage up to 10%
b) Rs 1105/- for shortage above 10%
c) Rs 2205/- as Late Fine (In case if the application is submitted after one year)
Points to be noted.
(A) As per UG 2019 regulation, the number of chances for the condonation of shortage of attendance is as follows
a) Either four single condonations during the entire program
Or
b) One double condonation and two single condonations during the entire program
(B)The permitted percentage of condonation of shortage of attendance for UG Program is as follows.
a)For single condonation - maximum of 10% of condonation of attendance is permitted in a semester
b)For Double condonation - maximum of 20% of condonation of attendance is permitted in a semester.
(C) For PG program,- The number of chances for the condonation of shortage of attendance is as follows
a)Single condonation - maximum of two times during the entire program - maximum of 9 days (10%) in a semester
Or
b)Double Condonation - Only one Double condonation is allowed during the entire program - Maximum of 18 days (20%) in a semester.
(D) The previous condonation details, number of chances already taken and eligibility for double condonation etc. are to be noted by the applicant.
Duly filled application with all documents shall be forwarded to the Deputy Registrar ,General &Academic Branch, University of Calicut , Calicut University PO, Malappuram,673635.
